Paul Hatcher oversees residential and commercial real estate closings and represents commercial lenders and developers in Chattanooga and across the country.  He recently drafted the declarations for the Highland Court and Sole Building Condominiums, handled the rezoning hearings for the owner of a commercial block near downtown, and represented a major tech corporation in the re-purchase of a large minority percentage of its stock from a withdrawing shareholder.  Mr. Hatcher handles 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, partition actions, quiet title litigation, title insurance defense litigation and other real-estate related litigation and mediation hearings.   He is on the faculty for the National Business Institute, Sterling Education Services, and the Tennessee Land Title Association. and currently serves on the fee dispute arbitration committee of the Chattanooga Bar Association. 

Mollie Martin practices principally in the area of probate, commercial litigation, conservatorship and domestic relations.  She represents commercial lenders in replevin and foreclosure actions throughout the State of Tennessee, and represents landlords and lenders in eviction actions.  Most recently, she successfully defended a lender against a borrower's claim that a foreclosure violated the terms of the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act.  She also represented a home buyer in a negligent construction dispute which resulted in the builder purchasing the home back from Ms. Martin's client.  She is currently representing one of our bank clients in a large estate claim.

Chris Markel practices in the areas of commercial litigation, consumer law, domestic relations, and personal injury.  He is the designated area legal services provider for the largest prepaid legal service in the country.  He is a captain in the United States Army Reserves and recently served wartime duty as a prosecutor and civil legal consultant stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  He recently settled two large personal injury cases.

April Perry Randle practices in the areas of creditor bankruptcy, consumer protection, domestic relations, and commercial litigation.  She recently successfully argued a case before the Tennessee Court of Appeals involving a real property dispute.  Ms. Randle has served extensively as a Guardian Ad Litem advocating the rights of children.  She is presently representing one of our banking clients in several cases across the State of Tennessee.  She was the judicial clerk to the Honorable Frank Schwelb of the D.C. Court of Appeals, and is currently on the faculty of the National Business Institute.

On May 5, 2008, Ms. Randle will co-present an NBI Seminar entitled "Emerging Issues In Consumer Protection Law", which will cover the areas of financial consumer protection, a legislative and case law update, liability issues in the food industry, and modern technology and consumber vulnerability.  The all-day seminar will provide six hours of CLE credit including one hour of ethics.  It will be presented at the Chattanooga Marriott Hotel (Trade & Convention Center), Two Carter Plaza, Chattanooga, TN  37402.  Contact this office for more information (423-266-2207).

Alexander W. (Sandy) Gothard  practices in the areas of personal injury, worker's compensation, domestic relations and social security disablity.  He is a member of the Chattanooga Trial Lawyers Association and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.  Mr. Gothard is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is limited to trial lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional skill in trial advocacy by achieving a trial verdict, award or settlement in the amount of one million dollars or more.  He recently completed his general civil mediation courses for approval as such by the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Adam S. Major  has trial experience in both general sessions and circuit courts, largely in the areas of premises and automobile liability, and is currently handling corporate litigation involving shareholders disputes and the interests of our banking clients in pending commercial litigation.  He is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations.
